Riding the Crest of the Wave: Southern California Fall Retreat For the third year in a row, Southern California IAM’ers will be gathering, this year on the beautiful shores of the Pacific in Santa Barbara on November 7-9 for a Fall Retreat. We’ve called the weekend, “Riding the Crest of the Wave” and we are planning to come together to begin by looking at ways that we each can bring serenity into the mediation rooms. (It may not surprise you to learn that some of our members are accomplished yoga and meditation teachers!)

Next, we’ll consider which way the wind is blowing, by having a frank and honest dialogue about new trends and techniques with which many of us are finding surprising success. We’ll enjoy a poolside lunch and then return to take a hard look at neutrality: is it over-rated or obsolete or still a critical component to delivering an ethical process?

Finally, we’ll have an “open Mic” session where we’ll have a chance to express our concerns and gratitude for all that IAM has to offer. Friday evening will be a no host dinner at the Bacara. On Saturday evening, we will have “Dine Around” options, which will give attendees a chance to engage with groups of 8-10 at various locations. There is great food and great fun to be had in the Santa Barbara area for all.

Sunday will be hiking, biking, beaching or spa day at the beautifully renovated Bacara Hotel. Space is limited and IAM Members in California will be given priority — we welcome you to join us!
