IAM Canada would like to invite all IAM members and mentees to our second annual weekend retreat in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. The format of the retreat will be like the breakout sessions at conferences, where we raise challenging topics, debate the merits of various approaches, and discuss creative ways to overcome the challenges we face. Everyone left our last conference invigorated and excited, with new tools and techniques.
The retreat will be held on Saturday, October 18 (with a dinner on Friday, October 17) at Taboo Resort on Lake Muskoka. Muskoka is an oasis in the Canadian Shield, and a popular destination for the rich and famous. In fact, past visitors to Muskoka include: Tom Hanks, Justin Bieber, Shania Twain, Cindy Crawford, Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Steven Spielberg, Jim Carey, Mark Wahlberg, Kevin O’Leary (Mr. Wonderful), and the Beckhams.
Taboo Resort is just under two hours north of Toronto. We will have a nature walk on Saturday after the conference.
For those coming from outside Toronto (who prefer not to rent a car), we will arrange transportation to Muskoka with one of the Toronto attendees. Or it’s a straightforward, easy drive from Toronto’s Pearson airport.
We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at Taboo Resort at $255-$329 CAD per night (about $185-$240 USD).
We will also ask each attendee for $150 CAD (about $110 USD) to cover the cost of the meeting rooms and some food throughout the day during our sessions.
If you are interested in attending, please email Barry Fisher.
We look forward to seeing you in Muskoka!
