Bio

Joe has litigated, tried, mediated and arbitrated cases in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana for  thirty years. Several years ago, Joe joined the maps mediation and arbitration panels to complement his litigation practice, and since then has mediated and arbitrated numerous cases in a variety of practice areas. In 2019, Joe acquired the maps Mediation & Arbitration firm, where he serves as managing director. He is a frequent lecturer on alternative dispute resolution to both local and national Bar and industry organizations. Joe teaches mediation and negotiation as an instructor in the maps mediator training programs, the CLM Claims College and at Tulane Law School.

Appointed by the Eastern District of Louisiana as a mediator for the Court’s Hurricane Ida Streamlined Settlement Program.

Appointed by two Governors to the Flood Protection Authority-East, Commissioner and four term past-President
