Scene opens with lawyers and parties arriving at a virtual mediation.
Mediator: Looks like everyone is here. Welcome !
Lawyer 1: You can move us into our private room now.
Lawyer 2: Our group is ready to move as well
Mediator: I’m not quite ready to move you.
Lawyer 1:(looking concerned) You aren’t doing a joint session, are you?
Lawyer 2: We definitely don’t do joint sessions, right?
Mediator: You are correct! I don’t do joint sessions!
Party 1: What’s a joint session????
Lawyer 1: I’ll explain later.
Mediator: I don’t do joint sessions. I do Collaborative Climbs!
Party 2: I that anything like an Understanding Voyage?
Mediator: Similar. More of a Sherpa thing.
Party 1: I once went on a retreat and we did a Resolution Expedition with three breakout sessions! A Creative Crossroads session, a Collaborative Canvass Session, and a Bridge Building Session. We came up with many creative options and built some bridges. Except with Polly in IT. She thought it was all too woke.
Lawyers 1 & 2: (in unison) We still think we should discuss this in private with our clients.
Party 1: No need! I’m ready to make that Collaborative Climb! Sounds invigorating. And I thought today was going to be dull and not very productive.
Party 2: Lead on Sherpa! Let’s climb this mountain!
