Bio
Jennifer is a credentialed mediator with international recognition and training. She sits on the London, UK-based Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) international mediator panel, and appears on Toronto’s RefertoHer list. She completed the Mediating Commercial Disputes program at Harvard Law School’s executive education program, and the Mediator Skills Training course at CEDR.
She is a frequent speaker at professional organizations, such as the American Bar, Ontario Bar and Canadian Corporate Counsel Associations, International Academy of Mediators, UK Department of Justice, in-house legal teams of large organizations, Scottish Mediators, Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and various law schools, often on topics related to mediation and dispute resolution, and was quoted in a UK Government press release on their inaugural mandatory mediation program. She has also has taught mediation skills at several laws schools in Canada and the UK.
Jennifer’s legal career included 6 years practicing commercial litigation in Toronto at large Canadian firm Fasken, where she was a Vice-Chair of the ADR Practice Group, and 7 years as a partner with Sills Egsgard LLP. She represented plaintiffs and defendants in diverse industries and in many kinds of disputes.
Jennifer recently lived temporarily in London, UK, where she worked with leading UK mediators, barristers and CEDR to develop a framework for early resolution of complex transnational ESG, including business and human rights-related, stakeholder grievances. Jennifer appreciates working with people of different backgrounds, having grown up in a small Ontario town, and later living in London, NYC, Washington DC, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Switzerland, Toronto and India.

Education/Training:
Jennifer completed the Harvard Law School executive training course “Mediating Commercial Disputes” in October 2017, and the London, UK-based Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, “Mediator Skills Training” in January 2021.
Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Ottawa Law School and studied abroad on scholarship at George Washington University Law School in Washington DC. She received her undergraduate degree (with Honours) from the University of Guelph, with a semester completed at the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur, India.
