Bio

Catherine has 30 years’ experience as a practicing Avocat à la Cour in the field of commercial and banking domestic and international litigation and arbitration, post-M&A litigation, real estate and corporate bankruptcy & insolvency, including one year in London (UK) and several stays in NYC (USA), with Anglo-American law firms (Freshfields, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP). Twelve years ago, she opened her own law firm CPLAW – Catherine Peulvé and added the mediation practice in her toolbox of litigator and arbitrator.

As a mediator, she is a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). She is also accredited with the Paris Center for Mediation and Arbitration (Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris – CMAP) (France) and the National French Lawyers Mediators Center (Centre National des Médiateurs Avocats – CNMA). As a judicial mediator appointed by Courts, she is registered on the lists of the Paris Court of Appeals and the Ministry of Justice of Luxembourg. She was recognized by Who’s Who Legal in commercial mediation since 2020, and has been raised in 2025 from Recommended to Thought Leader in the Lexology Index (ex WWL Global Guide). She is fluent in French and regularly works in English.

Education/Training:
Catherine Peulvé (CPLAW Avocat) is a French business litigator lawyer registered with the Paris Bar since 1994. She trained as a commercial mediator as from 2009. She is certified by the Paris Center for Mediation and Arbitration (Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris – CMAP), and also registered on the list of the Paris Court of Appeals (France), the Ministry of Justice of Luxembourg (Luxembourg) and the Centre for Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation of Ouagadoudou CAMC-O (Burkina Faso).

She followed numerous trainings on negotiation and mediation, including the systemic approach in mediation, the US SCPI training delivered by Gary Friedman with the Center for Understanding in Conflicts, the Harvard negotiation program « Negotiation Principled » and the US Mediating the Litigated Case training MLC at Pepperdine University, Straus Institute.

Catherine Peulvé is graduated from the University of Assas and University of Pantheon Sorbonne – Paris I where she passed a Master Degree in Business and Economic Law (French standard Diplôme d’Études Approfondies) – with Honors (Mention Bien) (1989/1990) and the University of Pantheon Assas – Paris II where she passed two Masters simultaneously, in French Business Law, with Honors (Mention Bien), and in International and European (1988/1989).
